Consume APIs from IBM i with AS400 connector and Web Transaction Framework

IBM i application communicates with the Web Transaction Framework using native AS400 methods (database operations and program calls). No JSON or XML operations, no HTTP.

Web transaction framework communicates with MuleSoft via Data Queues - native lightweight messaging infrastructure built into IBM i OS. This implementation takes care of data mapping and calling an external API. It uses the AS400 connector to listen for new IBM i requests and to respond back to IBM i via data queues.
